Mesh Mashup: Selection and Refinement
For my final selection, I choose the model of the Shoes and the wings put together. After struggling with trying to sculpt and modify the other models I wanted to do, this was just one of the choices that actually worked out for me.
Peer Feedback:
I feel like the critique in class really helped me narrow down what I wanted to do. I originally wanted to do another one of my models but this option was pretty good too. All of the advice helped me realize what I can work on and improve in the next step of the project. I was never upset or offended by any of it, and it was actually nice to hear constructive criticism. Most of the suggestions just had to do with making the models look more detailed and just add more to the models itself. I took that advice and found better wing models for the shoes.

The Process:
So, as I mentioned before, I attempted many of the other models before this. The one I mainly wanted to do was my teapot mashup from the previous part. I could not for the life of me get anything to sculpt, or mesh in properly, I don't know if it was just my computer that was just messing up the models completely but I tried all I could to make that concept work and It was just best to move on. This happened with my fishbowl concept too. So for third times a charm I ended up going with this concept. I brought in my original tinker cad model and noticed how low poly it was. So I brought in the original shoe from thingiverse. It was still kind of weird looking, so I went in and carefully smoothed most of it out. I then looked for another wing model and brought that in and smoothed it out was well. I then mirrored the one shoe and set of wings just so I wouldn't have to do extra work. I then used the shaders to sort of show the color ideas I had for the shoes and wings. I am hoping the work in rhino will allow me to sort of move the shoes closer (as my computer would literally crash every time I tried to separate the shoes and move it), but otherwise I am happy with how it turned out.
Remix Culture:
I feel like remix culture is very present everywhere. Especially on the internet. You see many people taking the concepts of other people and turning it into their own yet similar thing. I noticed this a lot with this part of the project. Mostly while hoping back and forth from tinker cad, to thingiverse, to mesh mixer. It really showed the process of taking one creation and making your own from it.
