Papercraft Final and Prototype

Image
(Submitting everything paper-craft related in one post, scroll down more for the final result.) Papercraft Prototype - For the prototype, I just wanted to see how the vase itself would look and approximately how a flower would look inside of it. I didn’t focus too much on the flower, but I realized quickly there was so much I needed to change moving forward. So to start on the final part of this assignment, I scrapped the whole prototype completely and started from scratch. Papercraft Final Rhino Outlines: - The Outlines before being marked with score and cut. -The outlines after being marked with score and cut, and fitted into 12x24 rectangles for printing. I ended up having to change my size of paper to 12x12 as I could not find any paper that was 12x24. Rhino Render: -Final rendition in Rhino, finished with planned colors. Final Papercraft Model: -Overall: I struggled with some of my pieces as I found out quickly that the smaller pieces were much more delicate and hard to fold...

Papercraft Prototype

Starting off, I was terribly sick (and still am) so this part of the assignment is still late. It doesn't help that I spent Monday just messing around with the prototypes of what I wanted to do and making it way more complicated than it needed to be. I wanted to do a flower vase with a bunch of different small flowers in it. I kept over complicating it.  Here were the original flowers (I was even going to do 3 different other types, but I think I will leave that for the next part of the project).  The idea was that I was going to fill the vase with a bunch of random flowers and eventually add leaves, but it was getting too complex just for a prototype. I still want to fill the vase with a bunch of flowers until the vase can't fit anymore, so it looks like a full bouquet. I do want to try to make the vase thicker as well later on.  More Photos This is the flower and leaves I want to use to try it out on the prototype, I want to see how many I can print and fit in the vase ...
